Title: David + Danny
Author: Cassie // tinkertoo
Pairing: Danny Noriega/David Archuleta
Rating: pg-13
Word Count: 573
Summary: The quick tale of David and Danny's lives together.

Disclaimer: I don't own anyone mentioned in this and it's all 100% fiction. If you goggled yourself and found this, you should turn away now.
A/N: This was written at like, 2 in the morning Friday night/Saturday morning when I was still kind of.... out of it and couldn't sleep, so forgive me if it's crazy.
Danny is.... Danny is indescribable. Like, David seriously can’t find a word or any combination of words to put to Danny.
Maybe he’d start with crazy. Danny is a little bit insane. Or maybe a lot? He might not be the best judge of insanity. He just knows Danny’s more far gone than himself, but he doesn’t see it as a bad thing. He aspires to be like Danny. Maybe not as crazy, but definitely as open. Danny’s got a very definitive personality. He doesn’t care what you think about him and, love him or hate him, he is who he is, he’s not changing for anyone.
Maybe he could change David though?
David’s shy. And quiet, except when it comes to music, where he has a voice that Danny thinks rivals the angels. And...he’s really innocent. Danny wants to be the one to change that, but then again he doesn’t. It’s part of what makes David who he is, that sweet and innocent demeanor he has with everyone, with everything. Danny’s torn between wanting to preserve that forever, to keep David as he is, and wanting to corrupt him in every sense of the word. The last seems more pleasurable, but not if it took away who David was.
It’s not really that much of a dilemma though. Danny admires him from the sidelines, out of the corner of his eye when he appears to be in an in-depth conversation with Ramiele, or with occasional glances across a crowded room where he’d never be caught.
And David, he would never have the courage. Danny is so cool and so untouchable, and David is just this awkward little thing, what would he even say? “Um, hi.” Yeah, that would get him places. He’s stuck just admiring this boy who moves so freely, who is so seemingly perfect.
It seemed to be chance when they finally collided, but it was more likely fate kicking in. Being paired together for some random assignment had them talking, learning of so many shared interests that the talking never really stopped, even after their random project was done. Danny learned how much more there was to David than a pretty face and voice and a shy exterior. And David learned how deep Danny really was, and that the surface cool wasn’t just on the surface, he was awesome through and through.
The first kiss was quick, filled with nerves. Danny’s lips barely brushed his before he pulled away, mentally cursing himself, outwardly spilling apologies all over David. The second kiss was when David had to quiet him.
And the first time was much better. Soft, gentle, words of love spilling out at climaxes. Followed by sweaty and sticky but still so special cuddling, David falling asleep while resting his head right over Danny’s heart.
The being caught and forced out went less smooth. It was full of tears, curses, promised sentences in hell and love being completely ignored by the ones who’d professed it for them both before. There was hurried suitcase packing, filled with yells from a father, cries from a mother, a sister clinging to his side, begging him not to go, a lover standing outside the window because he was banished from the house.
There were a lot of “no,”s. A lot of rejection, and hatred on every corner. But they somehow made it through. They had each other, of course they’d make it through.
